Declares I/A Series AW51 Obsolete! |

August 25, 2008 - Invensys released a Customer
Notification to update the phase classification of I/A
Series products. In this notice, Invensys declared that a
major portion of the 51 Series processor product line
(AP/AW/WP51A through E) OBSOLETE/UNREPAIRABLE as of
June 1, 2008.
Does this mean no support for your process
workstations? ABSOLUTELY NOT! PCS can fully
support these systems ...

unfairly lumped use of independent service
organizations like PCS with the practice of buying
used process equipment on eBay.
Published also in Intech, PCS president Ron
Borgman answers with his own opinion. He notes
the liabilities of buying equipment on eBay yet rebuts
Hurtte's notion that only OEMs can supply quality
equipment and service; if the OEMs are willing to
provide any service at all for legacy process equipment!

systems use cathode ray tubes (CRT)
for operator display. This aging CRT technology is rapidly
becoming expensive and replacements increasingly difficult
